The production of Germicides is similar to that of Detol Anticeptic with slight differences. The production of these household items have proven to be beneficial and a lucrative business. You can straight away start the business in your locality.
Below is the production procedure. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED: TEXAPON, PHENOL, LYSOL, INDUSTRIAL CAMPHOL, BOOSTER, BROWN CONCENTRATE, WHITENER AND WATER.
Phenols were initially used as natural antiseptic and disinfectants on skin surfaces. They are obtained from plants and are also synthesized from hydrolysis of benzene. Lysol is made from cresol and linseed. Phenol and lysol are more soluble in water than alcohols and are toxic because they can be absorbed through the skin.
They are flammable and corrosive to rubber and some plastics. They can cause sinuses and respiratory tract problems. So, they are no longer used as antiseptics on the body and hand gloves should be worn when using them for cleaning purposes on hospital and domestic uses on floors, athrooms, washbasins, and organic waste containers. See notes above on texapon (sodium laureth) and industrial camphor.
MATERIALS NEEDED: MIXING BOWL, LONG SPOON, MEASURING CUP, HAND GLOVES AND NOSE GUARD.
METHOD: To prepare 1 litre of germicide, put 1 teaspoon of texapon in your bowl, add 25grms of industrial camphor and pour 100mls of phenol and 50mls of Lysol to it. Mix them well with spoon to dissolve texapon and the camphor. Next, add 50mls of booster and 50mls of brown concentrate to the mixture and continue to stir. By now, the mixture has started gelling. Add 100mls of whitener and pour water to make up to 1liter solution. Do not put excess water because too much water will over dilute your solution and make the germicide less effective. Pour your germicide solution into a stronger plastic bottle made for Phenol or Lysol.
Hope you enjoy the gist.
